Week 19- Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?! Well I have news for you the new build has 1 more week before the building is complete! The builders are putting in the final touches……..But we cannot move in yet because of the electricity and gas authorities dragging their feet!

I don’t know if anyone has any experience with retailers and distributors passing the buck and not doing what they’re being paid to do! The most frustrating part of this whole exercise has been dealing with AGL and Lumoenergy. They have been very inefficient in organizing the disconnection and reconnection times for us. Their level of communication is poor with no consistency in message or results. Unfortunately for us we cannot demolish the existing practice for the car park until we have services disconnected. Despite our attempts at starting the process early to make this happen on time, AGL and Lumoenergy have been incompetant at completing our request. They have misled us time and again, making the whole process difficult.

So here we are at week 19 and the new building is complete but not being able to move in! We are at the mercy of these incompetant organisations who refuse to take any ownership of their tardy administration. We have ‘special departments’ within each of these organisations looking into the situation but we are still at an impasse. Anyone with any ideas of how to make this happen quickly please let me know!

The only new photo I have to share is the feature walls. Looks really good! Not much has changed as most of the works have been completed.

I am hoping I have better news next week but I am not holding my breath. Reading the complaints from others on the internet about these services and their ineptitude to deliver basic service is disheartening to say the least.
